1. Introduction
Evergreen Immigration Corporation (“Evergreen”, “we”, “us”) provides services through a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC).
We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with:
- CICC’s Code of Professional Conduct and Client File Management Regulation;
- Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of the Province of British Columbia.
By using Evergreen’s website or services, you are deemed to have agreed to this Policy.
2. Personal information we collect
We only collect information that is genuinely necessary for clearly defined purposes, including:
- Contact information: full name, email address, phone number, mailing address, preferred language;
- Immigration / study / investment profile: nationality, education, employment history, family information, financial capacity, immigration history, and documents you voluntarily provide for consultation or services;
- File and transaction records: consultation requests, working notes, service/retainer agreements, invoices, receipts, and correspondence related to your file;
- Website and technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, time of access (collected through cookies, logs, and analytics tools);
- Information from third parties: where necessary and with your consent, for example from schools, financial institutions, professional advisors, or relevant partners.
If certain information is missing, we may be unable to properly assess your situation or provide our services in full.
3. Purposes for which we use your information
We use your personal information for reasonable purposes, including:
- assessing your eligibility and suitable options for immigration, study, or investment programs;
- providing advice, preparing and managing your file, and communicating with government authorities and relevant organizations where necessary;
- responding to questions, arranging appointments, and providing updates that may affect your file;
- sending newsletters, legal updates, program information, and event notices where you have agreed to receive them (you may unsubscribe at any time);
- operating, securing, and improving our website, internal systems, and user experience;
- complying with legal obligations, professional and regulatory requirements, insurance and accounting requirements, and managing risks, complaints, or disputes.
We do not use your personal information for significantly different purposes without obtaining your additional consent, unless permitted or required by law.
4. Sharing and disclosure of information
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We only share information on a “need-to-know” basis with:
- Service providers: website and cloud hosting providers, case-management systems, email platforms, payment processors, and similar providers. These parties must protect your data and may only use it to deliver services to Evergreen;
- Professional partners: lawyers, financial advisors, educational institutions, local partners, and others where necessary for your file and typically with your explicit consent;
- Government authorities and regulators: such as IRCC, courts, law-enforcement agencies, and CICC where required or permitted by law or professional rules;
- Certain limited exceptions without consent: for example, to prevent or respond to a serious risk of harm, to comply with legal processes, or to protect Evergreen in disciplinary, complaint-handling, or legal proceedings.
Some service providers may store or process data outside Canada. They must maintain protection comparable to Canadian standards, but your data may also be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
5. Confidentiality, retention, and security
Your information is subject to a strict and ongoing duty of confidentiality under CICC rules. We keep client information confidential even after the professional relationship ends, except where disclosure is permitted or required by law or by CICC.
- Retention: Client files (including personal information) are kept for at least six (6) years from the date the file is closed (completed or terminated) and may be retained longer where required by law, CICC, our insurers, or in connection with disputes.
- Security: We apply reasonable physical, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information (access controls, secure storage, password protection, backups, and secure destruction when records are no longer required). No system is absolutely risk-free, but we are committed to maintaining a high standard of security.
If an incident involving your personal information occurs, we will investigate, take corrective steps to mitigate harm, and notify you and/or relevant authorities where required by law.

You can adjust your browser settings to refuse or delete cookies; however, some features may not function optimally. We may also use third-party analytics tools (for example, Google Analytics) in accordance with their own privacy policies.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable laws and professional rules, you have the right to:
- request access to and obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- request correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- withdraw or limit your consent for certain uses (for example, marketing), provided this does not conflict with our legal obligations and obligations to CICC;
