The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) Rural Entrepreneur Stream is designed for experienced entrepreneurs who wish to establish or purchase a business in a designated rural Alberta community and obtain provincial nomination for permanent residence. A rural Alberta community is defined as a population under 100,000, and located outside the Calgary and Edmonton Census Metropolitan Areas

Eligibility Requirements
- Business owner with at least 3 years of experience in the last 10 years, OR
- Senior manager with at least 4 years of management experience in the last 10 years
- Minimum personal net worth of 300,000 CAD
- Minimum education a high school education
- Must meet security and health requirements
- English or French language skills (equivalent to IELTS General 4.0)
- Minimum investment of 100,000 CAD into a business in BC
- A feasible business plan that brings economic benefit to the province
- Must operate the business and create at least 1 job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
